The restaurant was renovated a few months ago, and is now bright and warm, very friendly. Only problem is parking, the place looks packed, but if you can find a parking space, there is a table for you. Open Table reservation was great to have.
I took my 2 kids, ages 9 and 12 to dinner at the newly renovated Sierras. We had a great meal. The inside is pretty much the same as the old Sierras with some new paint. But the menu has lots of new items. The kids loved the pulled pork sliders and the cheeseburger sliders. I had the mushroom quessadilla. All quite good. Our waitress was AWESOME!! She was so great with the kids. Asking just the right questions... That comes with cole slaw on it, do you want that? ... great question, rather than a surprised and bummed child later who does not like cole slaw! All in all a great dinner!
Food was very spicy. It wasn't until after dinner that another waitress said we could have gotten it on the mild side.
We visited on Friday night. We were glad we had reservations as most of the tables were full the entire time we were there. The margarita are still awesome. For an app, the chicken nachos were really good. My son got the lasagna and it was out of this world good. My pulled pork sliders were mediocre at best and my husband thought his chicken quesadillas were just OK. We will go back but we will all probably be eating the lasagna. The server took a bit to get to us and was a bit flustered. However, once he got to us, the service improved and we had a good experience.
Sierras was closed for a while and hasr recently reopened. We didn't notice much change, still very much looks the same. It has more light now, unfortunately with the white tiles that gives it a sterile ambiance. Some wall decoration would make a huge difference. Menu has changed dramatically, almost no Mexican dishes anymore. We tried the tex mex egg role appetizer, which was very good. The fish tacos were plenty and fine, but would benefit from a nice sauce on them. Wife had a dinner salad with shrimps, which she didn't like too much, hardly any dressing on the salad. Margaritas are good. All in all, an okay dinner but not much that draws me back here.
