We mistakenly assumed that Saxmundham would have charming little cafes like the neighboring towns, but were surprised to find that The Corner Cafe seemed to be one of the few places open on a Tuesday. The cafe is basic, with large portions of freshly made food including white bread, chips, and simple salads. The staff were pleasant, but the service was mediocre. As we left at 2:20, we noticed the door closing firmly behind us even though the cafe was supposed to be open for another 40 minutes. If you're looking for a dining experience, I suggest trying a different town.
I had the best bacon sandwich I've had in a long time at this restaurant, and it was the perfect spot for a much-needed lunch break last Thursday afternoon. The cafe was spotlessly clean, tidy, and had a fantastic, friendly atmosphere. It's a great discovery that I will definitely visit again. The double espresso was perfect - so perfect that I ended up having 4 shots!
This is a traditional cafe, catering for all tastes. Proper coffee, proper breakfasts and homemade cakes. You feel right at home due to the friendly staff and attentive service. A real asset to the town
Good coffee, good quality produce, good company, great little find in the market place, will return when next in town
