As visitors to Swan Hill we started our day at Spoons Riverside.Absolutely amazing experience, breakfast and coffee couldn't be faulted.... great value for money and Hannah's warm personality just enhanced the morning. Located next to the Murray River is also a bonus for viewing pleasure.
Well worth booking, some great meals on the menu, had Morton bay bugs and the best Steak for a long time. Staff were very good and made a great evening, and we even got sneak preview off the balcony of the water show at the Pioneer settlement!
We went here for a birthday dinner and the customer service was good greeted by a friendly waiter who seated us and offered us complimentary scones from the chef and they tasted great and that is where the night went wrong. After that we ordered one starter to share which was the crispy skin cod in broth with shitake mushrooms. Let's just say the skin was burnt on the fish and the entire dish was bland bland bland absolutely not one flavour in it no salt or anything. My fiancé spat his out because he found bones in it. We then proceeded to wait an hour for main in an almost empty restaurant and ended up walking out from sheer hunger and frustration by this point and had to go to mcdonalds to get dinner. It's such a shame because the restaurant has great ambiance, great wait staff and is in the perfect location but they need better kitchen staff, i can cook way better food at home so whats the point of going out then.
This is a favorite place to dine, lovely and quiet and very clean, pleasant staff.Meals are very nice, but this changes daily I guess depending on chef.recently had a ice coffee and was charged $8.50, which i felt was very expensive for a standard drink, this would have to be the dearest place for ice coffee.cake is nice, and better range than has previously been.
