The Piermont Retreat is a gorgeous place to stay. Very clean, quiet and peaceful. A perfect spot to gather your thoughts, take some time out and breathe in the fresh sea air. The Retreat also has a Restaurant where the service by our waiter was immense and the food was AMAZINGLY fantastic. xx we appreciated our time here Service: 5

If you're looking for a place to stay on the east coast of Tasmania, this is it! You can’t go wrong with the selection of accommodations, from charming old sandstone cottages to modern suites. The highlight of our entire Tasmania trip was waking up in our cottage to the sunrise over Freycinet National Park. Our cottage featured a working fireplace, which was perfect for the chilly winter nights. I highly recommend ordering the meat and cheese platter to have in your room upon arrival; it was plenty for dinner and allowed us to enjoy a cozy evening in. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating! We wish we had planned to stay longer to fully enjoy all the facilities, and we will definitely be back!

Our second time back at this wonderful place and we cherished every single minute of our stay here. We stayed at one of the cottages by the water and we had the curtains open and woke up to a glorious sunrise and every morning was just magnificent. We also enjoyed the pasta night at the restaurant and enjoyed their wonderful selection of Tasmanian spirits! The provided breakfast which included local produce granola, yoghurt, fresh eggs and sourdough was a lovely touch. We loved cooking it up in the morning, watching the sunrise. The grounds are well maintained to walk around and soak the view. The cottage was stocked up with firewood for the cozy nights in. Thank you for having us, I wish I could give more stars with this review!

We had a splendid time staying at the Piermont Retreat. Our room was sublime, with an incredible view, comfy bed and an extra warm dooner to ensure we stayed toasty. Despite only staying for one night, the stay here was a highlight of our trip! In our personal opinion, this stay by far trumped it competitors in the Freycinet National Park Hobart areas. The drive alone, was incredibly beautiful, along the sunny east coast, bypassing many beaches. Only wish we packed our swimmers! When we pulled into the accommodation, we were blown by the views, not to mention the horses in the paddock and wonderfully look to main homestead that make it looked like something out of a movie. After arriving, we setup ourselves out in their garden area overlooking the ocean. As we sipped on some wine, basked in the sun and munched on some delicious fish tacos, we couldn’t of felt more relaxed. Our only criticism is the fact that the restaurant isn’t open on a Monday, the one night we were there. A shame but at least we got to sample some treats! The staff were wonderfully helpful, warm and inviting. With one staff even telling us about a secret secluded beach nearby, great to watch the sunset at. Highly recommend this accommodation!
