The food was absolutely fantastic, especially the steak and ale pie which was bursting with flavor. The staff, particularly the waitresses Helen and Izzy, were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. However, there was a young girl with dark hair who appeared grumpy and spent a lot of time on her phone during service, which I found to be unprofessional. Additionally, I was concerned about her wearing her hair down as it could potentially end up in our food. Despite this, my husband and I were very pleased with our experience and will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful meal at The Britannia!
The Gower is a hidden gem in the UK, even beautiful on a cold and windy Autumn day. This pub is the ideal spot to enjoy a satisfying lunch after braving the harsh weather.
This is a beautiful country pub serving homemade local food at a very high standard! would defiantly recommend! keep up the great work!
Just had a few days in Horton, in the Gower and drove over to the Britannia Inn. Not been before were recommended by friends to go. My husband had the soup and rabbit casserole. I had soup and a fish pie. The food was excellent and staff very obliging. Look forward to going again.
My partner and I visited the Britannia inn during a mini break as recommended by some locals on the beach and we were not disappointed! We sat in the main bar in front of the fire in a cosy little corner and were made to feel very welcome. The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The drink selection was good, they know how to look after their beer and serve a good red wine. The specials boards had just the right amount of choice on them, as did the main menu. We had mussels to start with and the lamb for our main meal, both were absolutely superb! Both meals were well presented, well cooked and carefully thought out with flavours and textures working well together. The juxtaposition of modern vs traditional meant that you were getting traditional food with a much finer dining experience. I would highly recommend the Britannia Inn and will be returning as soon as possible! We've been back home over a week now and are still talking about our meal here!
