The "original" deviled eggs were cut in a strange way, and were very wet. The only seasoning on top was paprika, with a few pieces of chopped scallions. Each order only comes with 4 halves, or 2 full eggs, priced at $2.50 per half. In my opinion, they are not worth $10. Overall, my experience at the restaurant was not very good. I wish I hadn't gone at all.
The Hops Spot provided us with a perfect meal! It's a nice space with a bar front and center and plenty of seating all around the bar and the entire restaurant. Our server was kind and attentive, with service being quick and easy. I ordered the Black Cherry Cider and it was wonderful. They have a wide variety of alcohol to choose from so you'll easily find something to your liking. Our food really was perfection, the Health Nut Salad with Chicken was fresh and flavorful. The Tex Mex Burger was a perfect medium rare with a combination of flavors and toppings that pleased my palate aplenty. The fries were well seasoned and there was no evidence left of any food ever being on our plates. We can't wait to go back and try so much more as the menu has so much to offer. I also noticed they offer a vegan menu and offer substitutions as well for anyone not looking to eat meat. Always love to see that availability and adaptability. Highly recommend. Enjoy!!
Great spot to stop for a drink and food before heading to a show at the Landmark. Easy walk between the two.The bar staff is always friendly and helpful with food orders. The food is delicious! There are both healthy and unhealthy options.
The restaurant has a cool atmosphere and I was pleasantly surprised by their variety of poutine options. I enjoyed my meal and will definitely return to try some of their beers or grab a snack.
This place is literally the last remaining gastropub in armory. With empire and tusk gone, this is your spot. Was in town to watch Dino Baber's football team and after a long drive from NYC on a Thursday I was happy and surprised to see this place was still serving food at 9 pm. My wife and I ordered poutine and fried chicken sandwiches. The poutine was fine, nothing amazing, but the chicken sandwich was absolute fire. Delicious pretzel bun and great sauce. The Dirty Bird I think it was called. The service was good too, and they had a huge selection of craft beers, including a ton of sour Al's to try. The ambiance is fine, could use a bit more character to the walls etc but it gets the job done. Cool game room in back. Overall, happy this place exists, because without it, downtown Syracuse has nothing for craft beers and good food.
