The café’s tranquil atmosphere provides the perfect setting for any book lover to find joy. It’s genuinely an excellent place to read, recharge with coffee, and relax. In addition to coffee, books, and a lovely ambiance, this café also serves delicious meals and tempting desserts that will make you want to treat yourself. During one visit, I sampled their Halo-halo, Fred's Fries, Keep Calamansi, and Breaded Pork Chop Bowl. While the halo-halo was enjoyable, it felt more like a mix of sweet candy fruits rather than a blend of natural ingredients. Customer service can be somewhat inconsistent; some servers are attentive and friendly, while others seem less engaged with their work.
Freds Book Cafe offers a private conference room that is ideal for small group events. The rates are very reasonable at only P2,000 per hour, which can conveniently be credited toward Fred's delicious and exquisite menu options. We recently held a beautiful wedding shower for our close friends here, and it was a wonderful success! Thank you, Freds Book Cafe!
The restaurant has a bright, new appearance that creates a more spacious and inviting atmosphere. Nevertheless, it can still get quite busy. Although the book selection could use a bit more diversity, the food quality has significantly improved, all while remaining reasonably priced. They also provide free WiFi. Unfortunately, parking is somewhat limited.
This café offers great prices for a trendy location, but the food was mostly average and the coffee was disappointing. The tuna carbonara was a standout dish, and I would definitely recommend trying it. However, I noticed that many other items, including the salad and even the carbonara, had an unexpectedly sweet flavor.
I really enjoyed their grilled cheese sandwich and Pinoy Halo-halo. The food is delicious, although I found the carbonara to be a bit too watery for my taste. The staff are friendly, and there's a fantastic selection of books to browse through while you eat. It's a charming little café, and I hope they consider expanding or opening another location in the future. Overall, it’s a delightful place!
