Contribuisci feedbackThe Grind Bistro. A restaurant tucked in the middle of a plethora of restaurants in Net Park. With it's neighbors being Chotto Matte, Motorino Pizza, Souv! by Cyma, Wildflour, Locavore, (the always fully booked) Manam, and more... You would think that the Grind would have quite the competition. But it seems that The Grind Bistro has something to offer that you won't find in these other restaurants and that is a chill vibe where you can relax while you enjoy your food. <br/ <br/ I mean no offense to the other restaurants surrounding the area as they are also amazing in their own right, but what sets apart The Grind from the others is that, again, it is more laid back and the food they offer is just perfect especially after handling a week of of stress. You can just imagine going through a hellish week and you treat yourself on a Friday night after work to a savory Cubano sandwich or maybe their Corned Beef on Rye or if you feel like tasting their best selling burgers, yes... burgers, meaning different ones, without breaking the bank... You can try their slider samplers. The Slider Trio which features their 3 best selling burgers: their signature Grind Burger, the Black Chicken sandwich, and the Pulled Pork Sandwich. Make no mistake, this place is not just a burger and sandwich joint. They have plate meals too for those who feel like they need to indulge either their sadness or success from their week. You can just check their menu and see for yourselves. <br/ <br/ To add to the amazing food is the amazing service. The staff are very warm and welcoming and they don't seem to mind if you take a million years to decide what to order. For me though, the one that made my whole experience in Grind Bistro really awesome was their restroom. Not because it was nice or unique or anything like that. It's because when you look immediately to the left as you enter their restroom, you would see a picture of the greatest pun that I have heard that night. You'll see in the picture.I'd visit this place again if I had the time. <br/ <br/ Do follow me on Instagram at @pic.a.plate to see more pics of my food adventures
I absolutely love this place! I’ve been here on 3 separate occasions and they have never disappointed me. <br/ <br/ If this is your first visit, I would recommend their burgers. They’re awesome! <br/ <br/ If you can’t decide which one to get, order the sliders , so you get 3 mini burgers of different variety. If I can recall correctly, you will receive mini versions of their Grind Burger, Black Chicken Burger and Pulled Pork, I think. <br/ <br/ The last one I mentioned I’m not so sure, but nevertheless, I remember indulging all 3 sliders with much gusto. Each bite I took was heaven in my mouth. It was really comforting! Get a side order of fries to complete your meal. <br/ <br/ Prices are expensive, which is why I don’t come here frequently. However, if I feel like treating myself to delicious American comfort food, this the place I would go to. <br/ <br/ Download the Big Dish app so you can get discount on their food. They’re half off between 4 to 5pm!<br/ <br/ They also have an extensive wine selection, if you’re into drinking wine. Great ambiance too. Sleek and modern.
Date for Two: Poke Nachos, Good Morning Bacon Steak, Crispy Chicken Wings, Iced Tea, Pastrami Sandwich, Truffled Mac and Cheese<br/ <br/ Total: P2125<br/ <br/ Overall:A newbie in the food scene, Grind Bistro entered F&B business on full bloom last year. It is located at Net Park Building, just a few steps away from High Street. From the outside, a high-ceiling restaurant greeted us, and took us in on a breeze.<br/ <br/ Welcome to Grind Bistro. This is our first time to go this part of BGC, we were actually confined previously to just roaming around High Street area, so we went a little more further and found this posh place at Net Park.<br/ <br/ Coordinated and uncoordinated tables and chairs, statement wall arts, stunning ceiling and lights made up this modern temple of foodies. One look, and we knew we’re up for something great.<br/ <br/ While we were led to our table, these babies caught our attention. Tempted to order some of these but it’s lunch time, we need to focus on that. Nyaha.<br/ <br/ Next to the bar counter is this little wine cellar that houses quite a number of bottle selection. This covers the entire kitchen and below this is where our orders comes out.<br/ We thought they have this upper floor for more dining spaces/private function area. This one’s the way to the Chef’s Table. Lovely wall art right there.<br/ <br/ We got curious and asked one of the waiters if we can take a peak. We literally took just a peak. Haha! We can see the Chefs in action, busy preparing for our foods. The area is spacious and clean.<br/ <br/ View from the stairs. Those warm colors dominates the look of the entire resto. We cannot stop gazing up on those lights, they’re a stellar view to look at. On with the food now.<br/ <br/ Poke Nachos (P495) – Ahi tuna marinated in soy chili and sesame, local chevre, orange and wasabi tobiko, pico de gallo, taro and sweet potato chips. This is a fresh take on Poke bowls. It’s a health-buff’s dream dish. The tuna is well seasoned, simple yet delicately good. The classic and wasabi-flavored flying fish roe is magnifique! This bowl is definitely one for the books.<br/ <br/ Pastrami Sandwich (P395) – house-cured wagyu brisket, truffle gouda, pommery aioli on rye bread. Not only the meat is bursting from the inside, this sandwich boosts flavorful play of spices, and the gouda cheese is the cherry on top. This comes with a cup of oh-so-good potato chips. Of all the foods we got, we finished this one first. We just can’t stop munching those chips!<br/ <br/ Crispy Chicken Wings (P295) – sriracha-spiced wings, blue cheese dressing. Sriracha-flavored wings is coming in so fast at our country’s food scene. This crispy, decadent wings are the star of the table. Not to mention how affordable it is considering the quality and quantity, it became our personal pick above Frankie’s.<br/ <br/ Good Morning Bacon Steak (P350 each) – house-cured bacon steak, sunny side egg, garlic rice, atchara. A perfect rectangle bacon steak arrived last. We expected something really overly tasty like the bacon slab from Poco Deli. It was a bit unsuccessful. Maybe because of the name, it heightened our hopes. It was more to us as a simple grilled pork belly. Nonetheless, the meat is tender and rich.<br/ <br/ Truffled Mac and Cheese (P350) – truffled pastas never let us down, mac and cheese never let us down. We love truffle pasta, and we definitely adore mac and cheese. So when we saw this in the menu, our heart skipped a beat. This. Is. The. Ultimate. Mac. And. Cheese. We. Had. Can we order two more? And invisible tummy expansion set please? Lol.<br/ <br/ Iced Tea (P120 each) – we got this strawberry-ish iced tea, not overly sweetened. We muddled the lemon right away so the extract can blend right in.<br/ <br/ Overall, food and ambiance are top-notch. Service needs a bit of improvement.<br/ <br/ Value for money: For some seriously good food and great place, this is a worthy date place restaurant. The extra bucks can hurt a bit but it’s worth it! <br/ <br/ #DateForTwo at Grind Bistro
Tried their Naughty Eggs Benedict. Indeed naughty is the right name as it was basically super meaty, tasty, topped with poached eggs on a muffin. Salad on the side somewhat neutralized the meat packed meal, but this is definitely not for the faint of heart. Service was good as the chef made an exception of making me eggs benedict when it was past the time period they're supposed to make them (only between 8am 5pm . The rating was only 4 as I could not exactly taste the hollandaise sauce while I was eating the heavy meal (tried it before I started the meal, lacked that zest? and the other 0.5 point goes down to how thick the meat was in there (not the traditional parma ham . It was more like a burger with eggs. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it still. If you're a big fan of meat, this is the place to go on the usual and will hardly be let down. Value was also good value for money.
Celebrated my husband’s birthday here because he likes burgers, and the Grind Burger absolutely did not disappoint! We had it split into two so we can share (and try other dishes. We also ordered the mac and cheese, which I found too parmesan-ish. We felt bitin so we added an order of the popcorn shrimp with wasabi aioli: this was a surprisingly good choice! I didn’t notice I’ve finished it before I could take a photo (goes well with a glass of wine too! <br/ <br/ Their wines are from Wine Depot, so they have a pretty satisfactory list, too bad the wine all you can wasn’t available at that time. (So call ahead if you’re coming to Grind for unli wine. lastly we had the deconstructed tiramisu that the kitchen added a happy birthday writing to. Awesome experience and would love to try their other offerings. Thank you!
