I ordered the cream chicken omelette curry. I appreciate the ability to choose the level of spiciness in the curry and the amount of rice in my dish (although not all dishes offer this option). The dish was a bit pricey and the portion of meat was small, as expected based on the menu picture.
My sister and I love Japanese curry and we've been craving for a really good one. Thank god this place was open during holy week. I love how you can customize how spicy you want your curry to be as well as the serving size of your rice. I also love the pairing with pickled radish. The servers are polite and friendly. A lot of Japanese eat here so you know it's good and authentic. It might be a little pricier but it's really delicious.
Unfortunately, while we didn't mind dining there, I found a hair in my curry plate tucked into the rice. It wasn't too gross-looking, but it seemed as though it had been there since the dish was cooked. We mentioned this to the manager, who apologized and offered us some ice cream, but it was still a bit of a turn-off considering how they present themselves. It's a shame, as Filipinos would say, especially since the restaurant seemed very clean and sanitary.
This was my first visit to a Coco Ichibanya restaurant and I found the menu options a bit unusual. They offer various combinations of familiar ingredients like curry sauce, fried chicken, eggs, sausage, and beef burger. I opted for a chicken salad while my companions seemed to enjoy their meals.
