The establishment has both a restaurant indoors and a bar/restaurant outdoors, which was perfect for our Friday evening. The beers were cold, although the service was a bit sluggish. Overall, it was a great place to relax and hang out with friends.
To start, the food at this restaurant is top-notch. They offer everything from fresh pasta to Panizza (an uncommon and special type of Italian pizza) and Italian soups. The cheese they serve is authentic and delicious. The owner is frequently present, charming guests, while the staff is highly skilled. The atmosphere is impressive, and there is even an outdoor area on the rooftop garden at SM Aura, which I believe adds to the overall experience.
We ordered mushroom ravioli and a platter of ribs and chicken. The portions were generous for the platter, but the ravioli only came with 4 squares. The wait time was a bit long, but the flavor was rich. We requested another basket of bread and the staff happily provided it. The owner was very hands-on, ensuring the restaurant was clean and attending to customers' needs. He even served our platter himself.
It is our first time to dine at MonaLisa. We ordered Calamari Fritti (P285), Mona Lisa pizza (P385), Spaghetti Con Polpettine Grande (P525).The dip for the Calamari Fritti was a bit bland. Pizza and the pasta were okay. Overall, food quality was good! Service was good but could be better. The waitress was very attentive but her demeanor was not very inviting. She exudes a better-than-you attitude. Prices are on the high side. We won't probably be back soon but we may visit again someday.
Fantastic menu with great flavours. Always fresh pasta sauce, great service and good cocktails and wine list. One of the better Italian restaurants in Manila.
