After trying the local Veg Café a few times, my family thought we had exhausted the menu so we came here for a change. I arrived early, reached a good standing seat and ordered a large oat flakes, which proved to be almost funny giant and Starbucksy. I can't say I was thrilled with the brunch options: the only standard were the granola (with vegetable milk) and the salad, and the modified bennie involved mushrooms replace both the bacon and the eggs, without a discount. I chose the veganized smashed avo because at least the price of the vegan version was reduced with the outlet of the ice. I was a little agape when it arrived when it was on a single piece of bread for $22. I wish I ordered the peanut butter Granola I ended up rewarding the cafe for bad behavior by spending more money and this cheaper and more filling dish with a family member. This is not a terrible café for vegan options, but I just found them a bit disappointing. The employees were very nice and service usually fast, except they forget my second order, but the server was involved clearing the table as I did it so understandable.
Loved it when it first opened, beautiful atmosphere friendly staff, delicious healthy food. Welcomed dogs outside with homemade treats and water dishes! currently has a reduced menu and hours, but best plant based option on the Shore. Great raw snacks, juices and smoothies. This is the only place I want to catch up with friends in takapuna.
We went for Father’s Day and the corn fritters, baked beans and plant based burger were all delicious. The “snickers” smoothie was also very nice.
