Basilico - Tampico

During my visit to tampico we were at this restaurant time for dinner. great atmosphere and normally busy after pm. great menu. they can also order in the puerta (big steakhouse next door) menu. they serve various kitchens

Have eaten and will eat here every time I go to tampico. travel so far. great service, great eating, beautiful ambiente.

After the name, it is an Italian restaurant, but after the menu they serve many different cuisine: Italian, Mexican and steakhouse. we started with a pizza as an appetizer that was a mixture of aromen. instead of mozzarella they use chihuahua mennonites ́ and feta...cheese in large curds, and serrano was hampered instead. the taste was different, but not bad. then we had beef tacos that bite in a hard tortilla and were very fat. we were really disappointed. until the tomahawk arrived. it was delicious, in the exact temperature we asked (medium rare). from this moment on everything was forgotten. even the big table of teenagers next to us turned to amuse themselves from annoying. (because we still wonder why they placed us next to teenagers when there were many tables available)

Had a good business dinner. Attentive service and good wine list. The tuna dishes are quite good. Good variety of table set ups including tables for large groups. Definitely one of best restaurants in Tampico.

Uno de mis restaurantes favoritos en Tampico, el lugar se encuentra en Plaza Herradura la desventaja es que puedes batallar en encontrar estacionamiento. El restaurante es elegante, tiene una decoración y ambiente agradables. Aún sin reservación, nunca he tenido que esperar para que me asignen mesa. Les recomiendo de platillos el risotto con pera y prosciutto, es una delicia!!
