Country Kitchen - Taneytown

Fantastic food and excellent service! My fiancée and I enjoyed the meat lover's omelet, which came with homemade fries, toast, and coffee. The staff was attentive, refilling our coffee several times, which we really appreciated. This restaurant is conveniently located right next to the police station. It’s a wonderful town, especially since my son works here as a postman!

We both ordered pancakes—hers had two blueberries, and mine was stacked three high with butter and powdered sugar. I also had two eggs cooked over easy with toast and domestic fries, while she opted for sausage on a biscuit. Everything was cooked almost perfectly and reminded me of the meals my grandmother used to make on Saturday mornings. The pancakes were absolutely massive—so much so that I used almost half a bottle of maple syrup! I honestly thought I might have to tap out. My wife seemed to enjoy her meal as well; she even saved half of her pancakes in a container they provided. In the end, our bill came to $30 before tip. Just a heads up—they close at 2:00, so you’ll need to wake up fairly early to enjoy this spot!

I lived in Taneytown for two years, and I really wish I had discovered this place sooner. The pancake was so large it filled the entire plate and brought back memories of Sunday breakfasts from my childhood. The sausage links were perfectly browned and not overly salty. My eggs had a wonderful consistency, and the domestic fries were well-seasoned and full of potato. The toast was nicely toasted as well. Please support the small businesses along the main road! They support your community and help make dreams come true.

A small town dinner as you would expect. Daily specials and super friendly staff make this a must-eat place when you are in town or go through. There are no lots of seats and it can be overcrowded, but it is worth waiting. even if you have to wait for a few minutes.

Great example of a mom-and-pop restaurant in nearby Taneytown Maryland. Food is always good there, we've been there several times. It is small, but they managed to keep social distancing the protocols in effect. Prices are very very reasonable. I'll always look for reason to stop there when I'm in that part of town. Worth the drive, two thumbs up
