Paetiki Bakery Cafe - Taupo

I'm not a steak expert, but to be honest, many steakhouses taste quite similar to me. However, this place took it to the next level. I had a steak and cheesecake, and both were amazing. The portion sizes were generous and the quality was outstanding; the steak was cooked to perfection and the cheesecake was divine. I later found out that they have received several awards, and they are truly well-deserved.

Their crispy cakes come with an amazing variety of fillings, and we were absolutely thrilled with the options. They have classic combinations like chicken and mushroom, steak and kidney, smoked fish, sweet lamb curry, and butter chicken. Choosing just one is tough! My personal favorite was the double happy roll, which features ground meat on one side and creamy carrots on the other. Yum! There’s nothing overly creative about the food, but it’s simply fantastic comfort food at a great value that will definitely put a smile on your face.

One of the best cakes I've ever had, and the hot chips were excellent too. If you're in Taupo, this is the go-to spot for all your bakery needs!
