Spindle Cycles - Tavener

I had a very unfortunate experience with this shop owner over a sale on eBay. There were some dishonesty and unethical practices involved so I eventually decided to withdraw from the transaction completely.

It seems as though this is a coffee/smoothie shop that has road bicycles as decoration. We entered the store today looking for parts for our specialty road bike and were met with a tech who was unfamiliar with common terms pertaining to road bicycles and we had to explain the manufacturer and style of the common equipment. After the education we provided the tech he advised us that they don 't carry these parts or equipment nor did he know where to source them. He advised us that they only work on specialty road bikes and it was obvious that he had failed to understand the conversation he was participating in. I would caution anyone from trusting the staff here for repair if the rest of the staff were as uneducated as the employee we encountered today.

Great bike store with a coffee shop inside. Plenty of seating outside for us even we roll in 25 deep!

I needed a freewheel, Johnny explained my options and then had it installed in a few minutes. The shop is 42 miles from my house, but I will be returning when I need repair work.

The owner totally forgot to get his name) was very helpful and friendly when I took my daughters bike in to get tidied up. He gave great tips and education on bike maintenance, etc. Other people walked in and he acknowledged them ,but I didn't feel rushed. The coffee was great too! I'll be a returning customer.
