Open Hearth - Taylors

The restaurant is in need of updating. A party of 12 in a private dining room had to wait 2 hours for their main entrees. The waitresses did not work well together and even admitted to it. The steaks and potatoes were lukewarm at best. The scallops were overcooked and full of grit. Our waitress mentioned that the owners are retiring, which we believe is long overdue.

I've lived in Greenville since 1985 and I wish I had discovered this place earlier! The service and food were excellent.

I had a wonderful birthday dinner with my lovely wife and friend, as always. It was a delightful experience!

Very nice retro 1950s style restaurant. They are well know for their steaks and honey fried chicken. Be sure to call a few days ahead for seating. The staff is very friendly and they make the evening fun.
