I had the pleasure of working there for 7 years in the late 80s to mid 90s, and I have fond memories of that time. It marks the end of an era for the Ruth family, the community, and all of us who were fortunate enough to work there. Best wishes to JoAnn as she embarks on retirement.
I adore this restaurant, it has a charming old school vibe that I appreciate. It's a shame it's closing soon, but I will always have a special place in my heart for R&S! Parking is abundant and free, and they have a wheelchair ramp and are accommodating to older individuals, making it a great option for those in wheelchairs.
The food at this restaurant has always been fantastic and the staff is incredibly friendly. It is unfortunate that they are closing down.
I have always enjoyed the R S Diner. The menu is basically the same as its been foe 50 plus years and I grew up on it so its comfort food for me. The liver onions, chicken croquettes, veal, chopped sirloin, etc are consistently great. My favorite thing is the unique R S Salad Dressing. If it was any better, I'd wear it lol.
Breakfast was way to overpriced. Coffee tasted horrible, place smelt like moth balls. The service the kicker, the main reason for the review. I’ve never felt such a cold reception from the hostess and server. Such a strange and depressive experience.
