Moon Starfish - Tendring

I have been frequenting my favorite local Wetherspoons for a few years now and I absolutely adore it. While it has its occasional flaws, nothing in life is perfect. The food and drinks are great value for the price and the atmosphere is always friendly, aside from a few minor incidents that can happen in any establishment. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Average cutlery, but with an ocean view. The food and drinks are affordable, enjoyable, and consistent. The service can be a bit slow, but manageable. Conveniently located on ground level with no stairs or elevators. However, the restroom is not well-maintained.

I have been working in the area for the past 6 months and only come to this restaurant because the beer is cheap and my hotel is nearby. The staff are young and seem more interested in chatting behind the bar than serving customers. The toilets are in a terrible condition, with urine all over the floor and it is obvious they have not been cleaned in hours. I have not tried the food, so I cannot comment on that. Overall, I would not bring my family to eat here if I lived locally. Despite its great location, the restaurant is poorly managed. This is a true story.

Lovely staff had an issue with food and manager came over think he’s name was Mitchell dealt with it all and food was fantastic he apologised and dealt with it so well compared to times before

We visited 16th Jan 2024, afternoon. Overall the service and food is as expected from the chain, but my main complaint is how cold it was in there. I asked a number of staff if there was a problem with the heating and they said no. They said no-one else has complained. It was a cold snap. When we returned the following day, suprise, suprise temporary hired heaters appeared in a few areas, although not turned on for some reason. So why did the staff member dismiss my previous day enquiry about the heating. Please don't treat customers like this. We jeep your place running and expect truth
