Pink Palace - Tendring

We had the opportunity to book a room at this busy hotel on a weekend and were pleasantly surprised to find not only a room available, but also exceptional service from the family running the hotel. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and treated us like part of their own family. The room was spacious and clean, and we enjoyed the large outdoor area at the back of the hotel, perfect for families. We also appreciated the front sitting area where we had our morning tea. They even made sure there was parking available for our car. What started as strangers turned into friends after a night's stay. We will definitely be returning, as the hotel is conveniently located close to the city and right across from the beach. We hope to book one of the balcony rooms at the front next time, with a view overlooking the sea.

I visit the pink palace regularly with my roast family, including a 16 person Sunday to celebrate a 70th. the price-performance ratio is excellent at this location. cream tea for £7.50 including a cup of tea with various homemade cakes is absolutely delicious. there is so much that there is always much to take. the hotel and restaurant is family-run, they are very friendly and nothing is too much annoyed. they have seating on the front with sea view, a beer garden and a play area to keep the small occupied. there are also free parking spaces outside. love the place.

Tea room doubles as a function room. good size rooms that can accommodate a band/disco and 70 people sitting and dancing area. toilets were very clean. small bar with inexpensive drinks. friendly, family-run. can not comment on the hotel rooms as we were only there for a function.

Eating was good, but what started me again is ant on the tables, has pointed out that she just wiped them off the table and that was it.

We took our granddaughter along with her boyfriend for her 21st Birthday for afternoon tea. The service was great, there was so much to eat we had a doggy bag to take home. The tea and coffee was non stop. Everything was fresh, crust off...the sandwiches (which granddaughter likes) the scone, butter cream and jam were very yummy in all could not fault the place or the price.
