Both the Massaman curry and Chicken and Cashew dishes were delicious, the sticky rice was cooked perfectly, the fish cakes were tasty, and the spring rolls were okay but I prefer Vietnamese spring rolls. The prices were reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous with plenty of meat. I would recommend this restaurant.
My husband and I decided to try out this cozy Thai restaurant in New Farm for dinner on a Friday evening. Despite not having a reservation, we were fortunate enough to snag a table inside the small establishment. We opted for a papaya salad, fried rice noodles, and red curry with duck, lychee, and pineapple. The food was delicious and we particularly enjoyed the fact that the chefs were willing to make it extra spicy, just the way we like it. However, we found the dishes to be a bit on the sweet side, as the chefs mentioned that they were unable to adjust the sweetness levels due to using pre-prepared pastes and sauces. The prices were quite reasonable and the corkage fee for BYO was $2.50 per person. It's worth noting that this restaurant is not ideal for a leisurely dining experience, as the space is limited, the seating is uncomfortable, and it tends to be bustling with UberEats drivers coming in and out.
Ordered takeaway back in 2017. Really good thai food. Generous portion and yummy coconut rice along with chicken cashew stir fry. Definitely above average when compared to places around.
Review of a takeaway restaurant. The Thai food was decent but a bit pricey for the portion size. The curry I ordered had too much liquid, making it watery. It tasted good with rice, but I needed more rice to balance out the excessive sauce.
This is the best Thai I’ve had in Brisbane. People who are writing it off are wrong. I used to live across the road and ate here 1-3 times a week. Pad see ew is incredible, yellow curry and Thai basil chicken are all amazing. I’ve never had a bad dish! Moved to Melbourne and tried Thai all over the place and the only place that beat it was Chin Chin for three times the price! I’m back for a week and trying to eat as much chai Thai as I can!!
