We saw their ad in the Terre Haute magazine and decided to give this place a try. It was a little slow so at first I was not Ute about our choice. I was pleasantly surprised, the server was very nice and made some good menu suggestions. We had the tenderloin sandwich which was delicious. The atmosphere was fun as you can watch the planes land and take off while enjoying a nice meal. We will definitely go back!
I've been to this restaurant three times. Each time I was welcomed at the door by Patricia a very personable and polite young lady. After forty seven years of visiting airports, I can attest that there are few healthy menu choices. The Fly-in Cafe, however has a delightful cold tuna salad plate with two hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, and a fresh fruit cup. The presentation is delightfully done, and Patricia is attentive to her customers. I enjoyed the aviation decor, and the picture windows overlook the airplane action on the ramp. They have an adjoining meeting room for special events. There's been a restaurant, off and on, in this same space since I learned to fly at Hulman Field forty-seven years ago. I hope this one makes it, because they are doing a good job.
Disappointed we were turned away to the air show! Poor communication and still not received any communication or apology! Waisted $100 on nothing. Not to mention gas and travel
Had an amazing time!! Definitely will be coming back every year they have an air show!! Awesome job by all volunteers and airport faculty! Heavy rains are nature of the beast and the airport handled it very well!! Thank you all!!
