Bruce Wine Bar - The Blue Mountains

The Bruce Wine Bar and Bodega never disappoints! Everything about Bruce is fantastic. The menu is filled with creative and delicious dishes, the service is personalized and well-thought-out, and the atmosphere is lively yet cozy.

I hadn't been to this restaurant in about a year, and unfortunately, it was not the same as I remembered. The service was extremely slow. The appetizers were bland, overcooked, and not worth the high cost. The $26 caviar appetizer had less than half a teaspoon of caviar. The rabbit special I ordered was inedible because it was overcooked and dry. However, the pizza was still tasty. Our group of six shared appetizers, had a medium-priced bottle of wine, and skipped dessert, resulting in a $700 bill.

I hate to be negative, but I visited this restaurant about 3 weeks ago. I brought my best friend based on a recommendation from one of my doctor colleagues. We had excellent service and delicious food. I was looking forward to returning with my spouse, but when we went back, the meal was different and a big letdown. It was disappointing to celebrate my birthday there and the excitement was lost on my spouse. I won't be returning anytime soon. I work too hard to waste money on disappointing experiences.

My wife and I called last night. When I picked him up, the chef was rude behind the counter. (Can have had a bad night, so I can leave the slide) but our two pizzas were very undercooked. At $25 a...pizza... that was very disappointing.

For the eight of us, this was our second or third time back. We were looking forward to this dinner as a family as we enjoyed it on previous occasions. Unfortunately we were disappointed this time. For the one family member, he order his steak...rare. It was cooked closer to medium. While it was still tasty, it was not rare. The server mentioned it to the chef, only to apologize saying the the chef was quite busy and he neglected to see the order details. Nothing was offered to correct the problem or even offer any type of complimentary dessert or coffee. Another member had the ocean special. When asked if he could substitute the mushrooms for any other vegetable, he was told that they could only exclude the mushrooms. Additionally, the portion was very small. To complete the meal, the desserts were described much better than the actual quality. Over all, for the ticket price at the end of the meal, a very disappointing experience. We will not be going back!
