The Eggplant Pokra was drenched in grease. Extremely disappointed that they would even serve someone that. Even more sad, because it had such great potential. If they just would have waited till grease got hot before dropping Eggplant in. The taste was amazing minus the grease. Only could taste a piece. The rest went in the trash. The Naan Bread was good. The Butter Chicken Masala sauce was good and seasoned. Chicken had a rubbery texture.
So happy to see Indian food in The Dalles. I ordered chicken masala medium spice. The chicken was done perfect, the spice was a light medium, Ill go for spicy next time. The non-bread was absolutely beautiful. If youre looking for a thin dense chewy naam bread, then presto!! I prefer mine a bit thicker and dryer for dipping. Still, it didnt stop me from cleaning the every edge of my bowl. The masala sauce was perfectly thick, any lighter would had been a downer. The rice was lovely and seasoned perfectly. Bravo Ladies, and Gentlemen. It was delicious
The food tasted good. If you order Samosa for $7+ just know you only get 2. Also, the Chicken Tikka masala is a lot smaller than I expected for $21. We also got Naan Bread and jeera rice, I think the tikka masala came with rice too but I didnt know that before hand. Good, just pricey for some items.
Ordered lunch for an office full of people with inexperienced taste buds. Everybody loved all the food we ordered (chicken Tikka masala, samosas, naan, paneer pakora, Afghani Malai Tikka kebob). Their chai is so good, too! Definitely recommend this place if youre beginning your journey with Indian food!
