Sleepy's Po-boys

Call the order in so my it can be ready for my lunch break. Placed the call in at 11:40 am and the lady on the phone said pick up in 20 minutes. Since they don't take names for the call orders you just go there and tell them what you ordered. Arrived at 12:30 pm waited in line still for 15 minutes and she told me oh we about to make it after I saw her give my food to the customer before because we had similar orders. I told her I called the order in an hour ago and she responded can't you see we busy. I'm like cool but you told me 20 minutes now it's been over an hour. Wasted my whole lunch break and received no food because I had to get back to work. I wanted to try the food and possibly have them cater an event and my job but that's definitely out the question now.

We had a shrimp poboy, an order of boudin balls and fried shrimp! The boudin balls were very delicious! Definitely will go back again!Food: 5/5

This was my second recent visit. I want to highlight a few things, the first time I went the customer service was not so great but the food was def popping. The second time I went customer service is on point . so to Brianna for keeping the smile on even at 10p at night and being extremely courteous. Y’all be patient with this establishment, it’s hard to get workers that display great customer service and I applaud the owners for always being aware and involved enough to make changes where need be. The food is always FRESH and the taste is always consistent. Wishing you guys so much more success. My favorite items are the Boudain balls, wings are A1 and the fried seafood platter. I also like the Philly cheesesteak only thing I would say regarding that is the bread is so thick it needs a little more filling or maybe tone the bread down for that particular poboy sandwich. Still not anything that deter me from coming back and getting it again though.

This is for the owners because I know Sleepy and his wife, personally. Very good people and hard workers.This particular night tonight, I placed a take out order. I walk in, there's no greeting when they aren't there. Anyways, there's a customer being helped and once they get served the female cashier walks to the back of the store without acknowledging me. No problem, I'm on a phone call and patiently wait. While she's in the back a door dash order comes and he walks up to the front of the counter. I don't address it because the cashier know that I was the only customer next. She turns to help him and I ask her why wouldn't she help me when she knew that I was next. She tells me that I was on the phone and don't disturb people while they're on the phone. I laughed and responded, that you want to have manners now when you didn't greet me....tell me to give you a moment as you go to the back of the store and now you want to be proficient at your job. I told her that she can keep it, I can easily go somewhere else and eat.The reason for this review is for the owners again whoa re very hard workers. Now, I'm fine because I just ate somewhere else. The little girl that was on the cash register doesn't care because a resolution wasn't what she worried about. Do you know who was the only person hurt???? Sleepy's the owners, you don't need people that will ruin your brand because you and your wife worked hard to get a good one.

I apologize for my language, but I can't help but express how incredible the food was! Seriously, if you're reading this, don't just walk—RUN and place an order at this restaurant. I ordered my meal through DoorDash yesterday, and everything was spot on and fresh. If I hadn't been at work, I would have driven there just to thank whoever made my amazing meal. I'm not exaggerating; everything was fantastic, and I'm already looking forward to ordering again. This time, I’ll definitely be dining in. Thank you so much!
