Fish in banana leaf was ok but overall an excellent meal in one of the loveliest settings I have ever eaten . We will definitely be back next time we visit Kerala. This restaurant is an absolute 'must ' if you are in Trivandrum and want a special treat.
Go there for the awesome ambience and maybe non-veg food would taste much better. As I ordered vegetarian I would say the taste was manageable but not excellent. The setting and decors are surely a hit. Its definitely a pricy menu so if you are ready to spend then this is a great option for a date or a family eat out.
The safest bet for good food in Trivandrum is definitely villa maya. That's one place where you can close your eyes and order anything knowing that the outcome will be good. Okay, it's heavy on the wallet. But it's worth every penny. We had a little birthday dinner last week. The chocolate cake was out of the world and it just melted in my mouth! Each course of the meal was better than the other. And the ancient palace ambience is just another plus.
Food is tasty, but expensive. The garden and the water fall give a good ambiance. Candle light will give a pleasant atmosphere.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic, with a menu full of delicious traditional dishes. The service is also superb, making for a great dining experience.
