It's a little dated but I believe it's what gives The Plaza its charm and atmosphere. I'll go back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
Have been going to the Plaza for many years. Went recently and was very disappointed with the food, food was both cold and completely tasteless/meh for the most part! It seems the overall food quality has gone way down! The only decent thing there is the Greek salad. A family member had the steak a year or so ago and it was very good! But recently we had the meatloaf, which would have been pretty good if they didn’t put Heinz 57 sauce on it! Needs a tomato sauce, not a brown sauce! Also the mashed potatoes and all our food was cold or lukewarm temperature, not hot at all! The Plaza does not know how to cook good vegetables! The mixed house greens (spinach/collards) were not good at all! The sweet potatoe soufflé is very good but a bit too sweet. Won’t plan to return except maybe to get the Greek salad occasionally. Also the atmosphere is very much still stuck in the 1970s! It’s been a great restaurant in Thomasville through the years but they should consider updating the atmosphere to modernize it some!
Did the owner of this restaurant really just admit to having video footage in the restroom to Rosa Juarez? Wow I had heard this place was trashy but I didn’t know it was this bad! I’m pretty sure it’s highly illegal to have cameras in the restroom and I have never met any type of management that acted in the way this owner is, I mean calling people POS? I mean wow that really shows what kind of establishment this is. I guess the southern hospitality went out the window with this place. Thomasville should have this place closed down because the owner and works are a disgrace to the city of thomasville honestly. I generally love the fact that once you got called out you went and edited your response but it’s okay I have the screenshots. “ I have you on footage stealing my snail from the restroom” that doesn’t sound too good for the reputation of an owner. It’s okay though you don’t have to back peddle and try and fix your errors, the reputation of this place went out the window years ago the only trash that needs to be taken out is you, go cry me a river you POS
I went with my daughter and a friend. I ordered the special of bison short ribs and it was Tough, the risotto was not made with arborio rice, it looked like puffed wheat cereal and it was dry and the veggies were mushy. My daughter got the eggplant parmesan and after a couple of bites refused to eat it, she said everything was just mushy mushy. The friend had the fried chicken and her chicken was dry, cornbread was hard and the Mac and cheese was grainy. The waitress read the room and gave us free desserts which were the best part of the meal.
Went on my first date with a guy and this restaurant was perfect. The food was delicious, atmosphere was just right. I will be back. Oh and the waiters were awesome and made the invite welcoming. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
