Contribuisci feedbackSo glad to stumble upon Today Hawaii BBQ! Spam musubi was super delicious!! I ate two of them immediately and they are great warm (I have two more saved for tomorrow so I hope I can warm them up). Wasn?t too fond of the manapua so I would just load upon more musubi in the future. The grilled garlic shrimp was very tasty, as was the BBQ combo I opted for 2 combo platter ofchicken and pork, which included a small side salad and macaroni salad. I went to pick up for takeout, it?s a small very casualspot so only a couple of people were dining in but there were lots of other takeout orders. Overall very happy to stumble onthis spot!
I was stuck working from my hotel and I didn?t want to deal with traffic so I used DoorDash for this location. Being Hawaiian, I had an expectation for what the food should taste like. I ordered the small chicken cutlet and what I received was mechanicallyseparated chicken parts mixed in with parchment paper and rubber then flattened out into a patty, breaded and fried. If thatdoesn?t sound appetizing that?s because it wasn?t. The sauce that accompanied the cutlet was a brown sauce that was absolutelydisgusting. The salad was old, hot and the mayo that was sticking to the noodles looked curdled (zoom in for a close up) ????.The best part of the meal was the Aloha sun juices that I purchased. I was super bummed.
Wow this place is sooooo good and so worth it! The chicken BBQ is so tender and juicy; it goes so well with the fluffy white rice, yummy sauce and macaroni salad. Super fulfilling even from delivery!
I was stationed at Pearl Harbor for 4 years, and Hawaii is in my blood now. I've been back several times since getting out. And Hawaiian plate lunch is a family favorite. This is the BOMB! Pure local kine food. Everything we had was excellent. As good asany plate lunch I had in the Islands. We got several orders of Chicken Katsu (a family favorite), and I splurged and hot theLoco Moco. It's an absolutely guilty pleasure... and an acquired taste. But they nailed it. Make sure to order extra helpingsof the Macaroni Salad. Oh. Yum. Don't let the hole-in-the-wall location stop you. This is authentic, pure local braddah food.Best plate lunch in the northern Denver area, and a lot easier to get to than getting on a plane.
Great local family-owned small restaurant feel with a dash of Hawaiian/Asian cultures. The food was unique, flavorful and fresh with ample portions. The service was helpful, kind, and hand delivered the food prepackaged to go to the table. Definitely ahighlight of Thorton's local restaurants.
