There only appeared to be one waitress who seemed stressed by the number of people in the restaurant so service was slow. However, food was good so four stars.
I love crepes. As the result I order them a lot and had my fare share of really great ones. The ones we tried here were mediocre. It's possible that we just picked the wrong crepes off the large menu, but mine was actually recommended by the waitress, and I definitely didn't love it. Same with the crepes that my friends ordered. They were ok. But not great. Other than that, the place is perfectly cute (but quite small) and the service is very friendly.
After an afternoon dealing with some pretty bad weather we went here for hot chocolate and crepes.I got a gluten free crepe with Nutella - they give you a savoury crepe but with the sweet filling (I think it's buckwheat) I can honestly say it was the BEST thing after skiing. Loved it! My OH had a caramel crepe (with gluten) and I can only assume by how quickly he ate the thing and considered another one that he also enjoyed it. Oh, and the whole bill was only €20! It would be great if the restaurants in Val advertised more that they did GF and Crepe Val should do this.
Good quality food, really nice environment and friendly staff. We ate gallette with jam, cheese, tomato and eggs and for desert crepes with chocolate and chantilly. Everything delicious. Really cozy place for a really cold weather and good food.
The weather was still nice in the evening so I sat on the terrace. It was the evening of the semi-finals of the ec so there was a good ambiance.I had a 'pancake'pizza. It's a pizza with a really thin bottom. I was doubting if I would like it. I had the one with tomato, eggs, avocado, olives, lemon and salmon. For a drink I had fresh orange juice. The pizza actually was really tasty! I was surprised. I would order it again. The orange juice was fresh so good. After that they gave me some drinking water without asking for it, nice! The only thing in val d'isere is that the got Swiss prices. It's really expensive. The 15,50 for the pizza was maybe a bit high but 6 Euro's for a normal glass of orange juice... That's like having a drink at plaza duomo in Milan. The staff is friendly, service is good!!
