I had hardly touched my question when the blonde waitress wearing black said: nothing without looking at me and turning me away from me. I tried to ask again, as I had not even finished speaking (very polite and understanding, I am myself manager of a restaurant), but she very rude and angry called me back. if she simply said that these tables would be explicitly requested by bookings, that would have been perfect. I have never the need to write a bad review for a restaurant in my life, but the way she talked to me made me feel rather disgusting and angry. it put us out of the restaurant and I am very glad that we went before the order.
Thanks. l’eterlou, as a cornerstone of our tignes holiday. we have visited tignes during the ski season four times in the last seven years and we can never miss at l’eterlou during our visit. we drive a lot around the world, and I'm hard pressed to think of another restaurant that gives us more of a local family experience. every time we go there, we see the original owner and his wife, mostly in rent, but still very dedicated in the family business. their children are running now and make a great job. each time we go, say hello, share a genepe and show them photos of our previous visit. eating is consistently simple, but fantastic. the prices are a great value, especially for a ski area.
We escaped the children for an evening to enjoy a cheese fondue. It was delicious. Two person minimum order and about €21-25 depending on the type. The staff were very polite and respectful. The L’Eterlou is well located just off the main Tignes square. We...would return in the future as we had such a great time.
A warm welcome but very small 2 level restaurant. We were shown downstairs where noise was intense from 2 parties and with both sides of a narrow dining area left only a little gap for the service. Service was slow but the food was spot...on and tasty. House red was poor but bottled wine not so bad.
Inside it's attractive and cozy. We ordered pizzas and steaks. Everyone loved their food. The potato gratin was excellent and massive. Afterwards we couldn't believe some of the previous poor reviews. Would definitely go again.
