I love the windmill! I don't know who wouldn't like it! I love the flavors, and they have nice service. The setting is super cozy, and their is a nice lake nearby.

Have been going for over 20 years. The service is great and you get so much icecream for a great price. This place is a hidden gem of northern wisconsin!

How can you not LOVE The Windmill! I have been stopping here every time I come up to our cabin since as long as I can remember! At least while they're open. There are so many choices of ice cream to choose from and friendly faces to serve it to you! Prices are great and various options of cones and dish, careful the scoops are always bigger than you think! There are some many flavors to choose from and constantly rotating, there is sure to be something you will enjoy You can expect a line out the door on any summer night and the wait is worth it! They recently made some changes to help with the flow inside, grabbing your ice cream, paying, then out to a little seating area, walking back to your boat, or down the trail to enjoy it! It is cash only, they don't take card.

So delicious. We stopped here a few times while we were in town the flavors vary every day and the portions are extremely generous. I had the butter pecan and lemon cheesecake which were both delicious. One scoop here is two scoops (or more) at other places. They also have at least one non dairy option every day. Don't be intimidated by the line, it moves fast!

Tried out this local favorite today for the 1st time. A single scoop in a dish is $3.50 and is enormous. The staff were very friendly the ice cream hit the spot. I can understand why they're so popular.
