Check your receipt for overpricing. Went there for a couple of drinks this afternoon and was overcharged (Should have cost $16, was charged $20) Upon telling the lady behind the counter, she sounded kinda annoyed that we were asking, and said some prepared apology about how "its a weird thing" and the menu has a misprint and the drinks are actually more expensive than priced on the menu. A couple of things a) It's not hard to change the prices on the menu or reprint them. or simply stick to your menu prices. b) If you're not willing to change the menu- communicate the price change to the customer. She then refunded us $2 of the $4 we should have got back, because the glass was bigger than usual (Never asked for a size, asked for a glass). Even though the two options on the menu were "Glass" and "Bottle" so the size shouldn't have mattered. All round unimpressed. Won't be returning any time soon.
I have been here 3 times now. Agree with everybody else who has reviewed the pork - tender, delicious, but 4 pieces would be better! We have tried quite a few of the dishes and found them all to be good. It would be good to see a couple more vegetarian options in the mains though and a pinot grigio on the wine menu.
Came here for a group function and the manager was an absolute pleasure to deal with in the lead up. Incredibly helpful and accommodating, I will recommend Junk to others for group functions for ease and the food of course. Group menu was very affordable and there was SO much food. The entire group was happy and the food came out quickly. Pork belly was a standout and the calamari was delicious. The duck spring rolls were lovely and the papaya salad and edamame were packed with flavour. For a busy Saturday night and a group of 20+ people everything was excellent and I will definitely be returning. Fantastic experience. lifelovetravelfood.wordpress.com
Decent food but consider the portion of the dishes, it is a place on the pricier side. We had ramen, soft shell crab bao, chicken kastu bao, pork belly and bubble tea. The overall taste was good, but the portion was really small. 19 AUD for 3 pieces of pork belly sounds a bit unreasonable for a casual place.
