The Boathouse Creperie - Topsham

Although not a vegan café, the owners of the Boathouse were very accommodating and had some options available. My partner and I both ordered the Boathouse salad, which came with homemade beetroot hummus and was absolutely delicious. My husband also tried the banana topped with chocolate sauce, which he enjoyed very much. It's definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in the small town of Topsham, which has limited choices for vegans.

Have only ever had hot drinks here, but it's a cosy bolt-hole and usually has at least one vegan cake. Also has vegan crepe and galette options but I've not tried them.

I had a buckwheat galette with beetroot hummus, tomatoes, fresh spinach and vegan cheese. It was very tasty and I enjoyed every mouthful. There were crepes which could be veganized and a vegan salad. The coffee was very good and there was a choice of plant based milks and vegan cakes. The Boathouse Cafe is only small but like most of Topsham is an historical building. There are trains and buses to Topsham from Exeter, the county town of Devon. Well worth a visit. ,

The savory crepes are nice, most of the sweet crepes have vegan alternatives. The chocolate paste crepe is very tubby feeling. Friendly people, dog friendly, nice interior, but oddly sticky tables
