Bistro Five61 - Toronto

This is a warm very friendly place to dine with family and/or friends. The food is very good and there is a nice joyce to chose from. The service is delightful, no long waits,no dropping the food down gruffly in front of you. Just pleasant from the get go...

Now under new management, I figured I'll try out this place as the earlier reviews weren't that great. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself in culinary heaven...Since it was lunch hour, I went simple with a hamburger... The burger was delish and the presentation made it taste even better than it otherwise would have.I glanced over the dinner menu and decided I'll be going back for dinner soon.Stay tuned for my dinner review.If you're in the area, be sure to try it out... You won't be disappointed. I liked the burger so much that I asked for the chef and found out that the chefs used to work for a fancy downtown Toronto hotel... No going wrong here!!

We discovered this place through a friend who invited us. We would have never found it.It is hidden. we loved it. So We went back on our own the other day.It was fine food very attentive service,Nice intimate ambiance,We were very pleased.It is quite you could have a conversation not too big.Just right.

We returned to this restaurant after many years and were not disappointed. The poached pear and arugula salad and the mixed green salad were both just the right size. The grilled salmon with asparagus and ratatouille rice combo was delicious. The halibut was cooked perfectly. The hamburger with fries was excellent. Nice wine list and very good coffee. We will not wait so long to return.

What a great spot. Quiet, impeccable service and outstanding food. A must on your to do lost. We had butter chicken and desserts that were to die for. Would recommend without fail.
