We are all in our 30s and 40s, not rowdy, just looking to have some Halloween fun and spending money at each pub. When we came into this restaurant, it was empty so we were hoping our business would be appreciated. However, the bartender was immediately rude, insisting that we sit at a table and wait to be served. Some of us were so put off by her attitude that we left right away, while others tried to order Jäger Bombs only to be told they don't serve shots to minors. Due to her unprofessional behavior, the bartender missed out on a $250 sale and potentially $100 in tips. She was rude, lazy, and lacked basic professionalism.
Last night (Saturday of Halloween weekend) a group of 12 of us were doing a pub crawl. We are all in our 30s and 40s, not loud and crazy, just having some Halloween fun, and we were spending a lot of money at each pub.We stopped in here, the place was dead so we thought our stop in would have been appreciated. Nope this bartender was immediately rude, refused to service us unless we sat down at a table and waited to be served. Half of our group was immediately disgused and walked out the door, and others tried to order Jäger Bombs. She aggressively told them "we don 't do kids shots in here. "You missed out on a good $250 sale and probably an easy $100 in tips because of your attitude, you rude, unprofessional, lazy idiot.
I recently visited Bryden's for the first time and was impressed with their food prices and drink selection. We decided to make the trip from North York because of their wings special and high ratings. The nachos were also delicious, especially with the added chicken and spicy beef - the portions were generous. However, I was disappointed to see Bryden's lose two stars due to discrimination against marijuana users. The waitress saw us smoking outside and proceeded to cut off a table of individuals who showed no signs of intoxication. Despite keeping to ourselves and behaving appropriately, we were told that there is a new law regarding the mixing of marijuana and alcohol, which I could not find any information about online. As a bartender, it is important to assess a patron's level of intoxication rather than discriminating against them for using a legal substance. I believe we were unfairly targeted because we did not fit the expected demographic of the establishment. While the food was good, I cannot support a business that discriminates against its customers. I advise those who use marijuana to steer clear of Bryden's.
Effortless 5 stars for a Tuesday wing night at the pub.
Very cozy atmosphere with Excellent burgers, and great choice of beers, specially if you like GLB options like me.The service is always friendly and make you feel welcome every time.
