No good surprise regarding food. Very common sushi and fish. There are... lots of good sushi restaurant in Toronto with much better food and value.. I didn't have her chef Jackie Lin to serve me and was served by a Korean cook. His ability is really elementary. All in all, will not return. The bill came to $700 per person Inc. tips.
I always enjoy dining at Shoushin. After trying their sushi, it's hard to eat at any other sushi restaurant.
Shoushin is a hidden gem in the city that consistently exceeds expectations. The food is exceptional and the service is unparalleled, making it stand out from other restaurants. We find ourselves returning time and time again for an unforgettable evening. If you love sushi and crave an authentic Japanese dining experience, don't hesitate to visit Shoushin. We've already made our next reservation.
Shoushin offers a fantastic Omakase sushi experience. Opt for the counter seats to watch the chef prepare your sushi right in front of you. The key to great sushi is high-quality ingredients, and Shoushin sources theirs from trusted suppliers in Japan and possibly other places. I have never had better bluefin kama-toro anywhere else. The atmosphere is serene, with only a few guests seated at a time. You can chat with the chef or server, or simply listen to their explanations of the dishes. If you are offered musk melon for dessert and haven't tried it before, I highly recommend giving it a go.
Great experience. Service and food were amazing, however we had booked in advance counter seating but once we arrived it was at capacity and we had to be seated at a side table. Visiting from out of town it was a bit disappointing but we Still enjoyed our experience none the less. Thank you
