Tom's Tacos - Torrance

My husband and I decided to try some tacos since the prices at Tito's are quite outrageous. We really enjoyed our experience here. The chips were warm and seasoned perfectly with salt. I found that the tacos had more meat than those at Tito's, and the salsa was very similar. I'm so glad we gave this place a chance; we’ve found a new favorite for our crispy tacos and salsa!

FAR by Authentic: I ordered the super nacho plate, which does not include guacamole or sour cream—these need to be requested separately. There isn’t even a choice for the meat, and there were more beans than protein on the plate. The food was lukewarm, and when I asked about it, they explained that they use the same meat for burritos and tacos, which turned out to be runny. The combination of flavors just muddled together into a bad-tasting liquid. As for the price and customer service, I have mixed feelings. The woman who helped me was friendly about the spices, but I had to return twice due to issues with the food the first time and an honest mistake the second time. Despite this, she still forgot the sour cream I requested after I went back to my car. The cost for this disappointing nacho mess was $12.47! Honestly, you're better off going to Taco Bell than wasting your time here.

The menu was different, with the tacos being similar but nothing special. The rice was inedible—how can you mess up rice that badly? The salsa came in a large container, but I quickly realized it was only half full. It wasn't very flavorful but did somewhat help with the rock-hard tacos. For $13, it’s hard to justify spending that much. I’m giving one star for the food and another star because I should have known better. The only thing that feels familiar is the sign outside. One visit was more than enough.

I would give it five stars if they accept credit cards, but they only accept cash that is really annoying. I would go a bit further to Tito's Tacos because they accept credit cards and I don't have to go to an ATM and waste my time

They're tacos are pretty good. but it sucks that you can't eat in there I have to bring them home, they have this little tiny window for you to order.
