Well, I have to admit that I have been to this place more times that I can remember.

Quiz night is what brought me to the Hotel Royal initially, There are quite a few skilled regulars that come to quiz night, but split your age demographic

It was my birthday and we had a couple of Scoopon vouchers so my Mum, daughter, granddaughter, husband and Dino went to lunch. It was lovely and warm by the fire and with 4 generations together it was an ideal place to go. The staff were very helpful and the food reviews from everyone at the table were very good. The Scoopons included two bottles of wine and a jug of soft drink so there was no extra cost for drinks. A lovely day in a lovely hotel with my wonderful family.

We went here for dinner.Lovely decor.Quite like the art deco look.Love, love the fireplaces (especially on the cold of winter.Waitresses lovely.Waiter needs retraining.Very poor attitude.Rude. Condescending and arrogant.Weird attitude.We noticed other guests thought so too.Food lovely. BUT small,small serves.Other guests thought so too.Have spoken about this before.Hasn't been rectified.Will not be going back.Plenty of other pubs in this area to make our new "local".Christine.
