Contribuisci feedbackUpon arrival, the bartender appeared surprised to see us as she was unaware of our booking. After returning when the rooms were ready, we were a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the bedding, which was very wrinkled. The pillows were flat and there were no hand towels or water glasses provided. The hosts did not welcome us during our entire stay. The noise from patrons smoking outside under our windows was bothersome, lasting until 1:30 am on Friday night. We had to ask them to move away from the window due to the loudness. The shower had issues with temperature fluctuation. The outside entrance to the rooms was unkempt, giving an overall feeling of unpreparedness. Hopefully, the establishment will improve cleanliness and presentation of the rooms in the future.
Very rude owners, I wouldn’t recommend. Not welcoming AT all!! Quite bleak and not many people there.
Hands down the best Sunday roast I’ve had in a long time. Food was absolutely on point and at a price that is unarguably unbeatable. Brisket beef was to die for, roast potatoes and veg in abundance, cauliflower cheese was so tasty… went for the small plate, glad I did, a feast, you really need to be a big eater to go for the large! Trust me you will not be disappointed. I am guessing the Market Inn is family run, I say this because I found the atmosphere very welcoming and friendly, staff were great and happy to chat. Will surely be returning next time we are in Holsworthy.
Visited a couple of times on Sundays and the food is very good. The carvery is excellent and there is plenty of choices. Haven't managed a desert yet but hopefully will soon.
Visited the Old Market Inn Holsworthy on Sunday evening 18th August , first impressions were ok we ordered a drink and pondered over the menu , deciding to stay and eat, we asked the restraunt staff if they could fit us in for a table of two but explained our time was limited and we would need to leave within 1.1/2 hrs the young waitress said it would not be a problem and took our order . We were beckoned to our table in a very acceptable 35 mins after being told the food was ready , my food was the first to arrive and after a wait of around a further 5mins my wife's order came and was hastily placed before her , my wife immediately noticed her order was wrong having frys on her plate and not the sauteed potatoes she had ordered, she called the very agitated waitress back to the table who snatched the plate back and without saying anything proceeded back to the kitchen. Not wishing to start my meal till my wife had received hers we waited a further 10-15mins but in the mean time we called the waitress over and my wife asked how much longer it would take ? the waitress shouted very loudly at my wife to just be patient , the whole restraunt fell silent which made us feel very uncomfortable, we where by now about to leave when the food arrived and was literally thrown on the table with no apology or anything said. The food we recived was of reasonable quality in the end we stayed to finish our meal and after paying the bill at the bar and complaining about the waitress attitude we left . With hind site and although that waitresses behaviour was totally unacceptable, we felt that management should not only be offering better training for front of house staff but ensuring they have enough staff on duty to cover a busy restraunt and not expect one young girl with limited capability and a short temper to be the face of what could be a very nice Inn and restraunt .
