I was lucky to visit just before the lockdown and i can't wait to return once the situation is back to normal: the restaurant is spacious, they don't cram people in like...so many other restaurants in London, so I would feel comfortable visiting again. They don't play loud music so it's the ideal venue to catch up with people and you can hear each other talk. Yes, I really can't wait to be back. But in the meantime, we have been able to celebrate special occasions during lockdown with the food delivery service. Thank you for indulging us when there was nowhere to go!
As an Italian who loves good fish cuisine, it can be challenging to find satisfaction when dining abroad. However, this restaurant, which originally only specialized in manufacturing smoked salmon, proved to be a delightful find. Nestled on the first floor with a scenic view of the river, the restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with ample space between tables for private conversations. I particularly enjoyed the appetizer featuring various smoked salmon bites prepared in different ways, while my son relished the cooked salmon dish. The menu also includes meat dishes, which I believe are prepared with the same attention to detail as the fish. The waitstaff's friendliness added to the overall dining experience. Although the wine list is exclusively English, I was pleased with the bottle of white wine I selected. In conclusion, this restaurant offers a truly enjoyable dining experience.
Thoroughly enjoyed the briefing and demonstration given on the smokehouse. Learned a lot of most interesting facts that I will put into practice when shopping for smoked salmon in the future. It was a real fun evening.
It’s a few years since we had the most magnificent meal at Forman’s (2012 to be precise) and we had the most magnificent view of the Olympic stadium while the Para-Olympics were being held. Gorgeous meal of many small but exquisite courses. Seeing the salmon...being cured was an added interest.
Wow was the waiting to visit formans for a tour and tasting that had to be delayed due to the pandemic. we all enjoyed listening our time at formans to the Forman story, always seeing a world recorder that cuts one side. of smoked salmon and talk us through the process that makes formans lach unique and with distance the best! it was a well thought out tour with a beautiful tasting of the salmon in their beautiful restaurant.
