Forman's - Tower Hamlets

I wasn't sure what to expect, but this turned out to be a fantastic day out. Lance Forman and Darren at the factory were very interesting, and then we were served an amazing lunch with champagne. I definitely recommend this experience.

A fantastic experience! We used a Buyagift voucher for this tour and the booking process was simple. The tour was both interesting and informative, and the lunch consisted of 9 types of delicious cured salmon served with bread. We highly recommend this tour; we spent about 3 hours there and it's only a 20-minute walk from Stratford on the Liz line (note that Stratford International is not accessible with a travel card as it's zoneless, but this was not an issue for us).

For a unique birthday present, I treated my son to a tour of Forman Field in East London. We had an amazing time. The tour of the processing area was educational and enjoyable. The level of hands-on experience, expertise, and attention to detail that goes into their Smoked Salmon is impressive. As part of the tour, we were treated to a salmon tasting lunch. The presentation of the fish was exquisite, and Lance Forman provided us with information about each type of salmon before we indulged in our meal at their charming restaurant. I don't usually write reviews, but this family-owned business and their fantastic staff deserve recognition. The memories of the day will stay with us for years to come. And the food was truly exceptional!

We went on Friday for the Forman’s tour. This is a must when living or visiting London. We were welcomed by Lloyd, Claire and their wonderful team, instantly making us feel welcome. We enjoyed coffee in the restaurant over looking the river. Lance Foreman then gave a talk, which was very interesting, intriguing and funny. Downstairs to the factory to see Darren world class salmon slicing skills. He could get a world record for his banter too, very funny indeed. We finished with a tasting plate of quite simply the best smoked salmon in the world!!!! I can’t recommend the tour enough, it’s amazing. And if you can’t get to the tour order some smoked Salomon online you will not be disappointed. Thank you Formans for an amazing day.

We had booked a tour and found our way through the rain to the smokery to be warmly welcomed by Claire and were guided to the dining hall to listen to the most interesting talk about the history of the company and the various processes which are all done by hand before donning white coats hair and shoe protectors. We were then invited to descend to the factory floor and allowed to take pictures before settling down to watch the very jovial, funny and expertly Darren explaining and demonstrating all there was to know about the Salmon, the salting drying smoking or curing processes. Also very informative and well done. A truly memorable experience.
