Park Life Cafe - Tower Hamlets

I went to the café at the recently opened Britannia Leisure Centre in Shoreditch Park. I found it to be quite pricey for what we received. I ordered the salt beef on a bloomer, but the bread was very hard and dry without any butter. The beef was also dry and not the salt beef I had expected. It was accompanied by just a few leaves for decoration. I attempted to order a bacon bap, but was told it was only available on the breakfast menu and not at 12.30, despite there being no time restrictions listed on the menu. I would not dine here again, as it felt like a waste of £22.

Really lovely staff. We had a nice latte and smoothie. Would be better if wasn’t raining, but now you can sit inside.

Limited but delicious menu backed up by personal and helpful service. Good value for money and the portion of chips was big enough for 2. If we lived locally we would be regulars.

The staff at this restaurant are consistently friendly and engaging, providing a welcome escape from the challenges of the pandemic. I have been a regular customer for the past few months and have always received top-notch service and delicious coffee. Thank you for creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere.

I have been visiting Burgess Park for many years, and the café used to be just okay, but not great. However, there has been a significant improvement! The café now looks clean and modern, and the coffee is fantastic. I must mention the wonderful staff, who always have a smile on their faces and kindly made me another coffee even though they were about to close. The café is conveniently located next to the playgrounds, making it a great spot for families with kids.
