So, in the night, terrible, but the aftercare was great, would we go back? it is too expensive for what they get, so no, not until I have read more positive reviews. Previously it was worth the money, but since fullers took over the waiting staff, they are simply not very well trained, it is pure up to the administration not the waiting staff that were all pleasant people. we came a few weeks before drinks, but left after a drink, a long waiting period, the personal hudddled together pochend loud about the place and the music was terrible and loud.
Lord nelson lived near and was a patron. now the chicks are a mix, plentiful enough, good eating with a yorkshire pudding the size of a small hat. beautiful atmosphere, attentive staff, coffee at the river.
A friend recommended us 'the gun', so I made a reservation for Sunday roasting the food was delicious, the staff very friendly and fast, the intention (it is great over the o2). I had the roasted rug of cumbrian bark meat with dee fat bratkartoffel, a true joy. I look forward to the next time in this pub.
Very friendly staff, good solid Sunday roast, lovely atmosphere
Not my first visit and hopefully not the last! Simply delicious food, excellent wine and friendly and knowledgable staff. If available I'll recommend the **** Mary oysters!
