Had a seafood risotto that was life changing. Great service from Emma. Good wine.
Don’t visit if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. I’m vegan and gf, as is my mom with an addition of a garlic allergy (tricky! Both our meals were said to be free of all the things, and neither our apps or entrees were. The salad came out with cheese (they quickly fixed it , but it was basically just lettuce with garlic in the dressing. We both got the coconut curry (no “protein” addition, as they were all meat, and I asked for extra beans but was told no. The dish was too spicy to eat, and the sides of rice and slaw were very buttery barely any beans to be seen. Also very garlicky. Neither of us could stomach more than the rice and slaw. But even that was enough to give us both bad bloating stomach cramping. Certainly not worth the prices we paid. As mentioned, the outdoor seating is lovely, and dog friendly. Staff is not well trained, but friendly. If you have a steel stomach and aren’t very critical of what you eat, I recommend eating here. Wish it was as good as it used to be. The tofu curry had been my favorite.
It's along the main strip of shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor. There was a wait to get an outdoor table, where the dinner scene was happening, but we were offered an indoor one right away and took it. We got put in back section of that but it was okay. The service was very quick. The food was good and the blueberry ale was smooth.
My wife and I visited on Tuesday July 30. We both ordered the fish and chips. The fish portions were very small and the breading was very thick...I do not not really know how to describe it, but was not good. We called attention to our meals to the waitress, Samantha, but she simply stated that is the way they make it. She was not apologetic and never offered any amenity (such as something else, a discount, a free dessert, etc. because of our disappointment. I literally picked up the breading cement block to show her and she said nothing. A few days later I called the Manager and he was apologetic. In fairness, I probably would give them another try. But I would be very wary of the fish and chips .
