We had reservations weeks ahead only for us to be seated in some random wood paneled room with fish posters (literally the least of the looks of a dungeon). When the upstairs hostess told us to walk down the stairs, no one greeted us to tell us where we were seated until minutes later. Along with the seating itself they had many open tables in the other rooms and since they had moved our tables together, there was no excuse as to why they couldn’t have sat us in a real dungeon room. The waitress seemed very rushed and absentee most of the time. It was very hard to order when you are facing the wall and the waitress is at your back. There was no room to walk around the table. Once you were seated against the wall, everyone else had to leave their seat to let you out, it was that tight and it was very awkward and uncomfortable. After about 30 min., soups, appetizers were served. Then our orders for our main meal were taken. We all had access to the menu through emails and their facebook page, that were up to date. I ordered the seafood medley, then 20 min. later was told , we don’t have that, sorry. I’ll have the steak then, oh we don’t have that either. Then I’ll have the tomahawk pork chop. Mine did not come out until everyone else was finished with their meal and they were packing their food, in take out containers. I took one bite and it was fatty. I just packed mine too, into a take out box. We asked for a refill of drinks and that took an hour, but they had to be reminded after 45 min. Most meals were good, but the pulled pork that my grandfather had was over salted and lacked sauce. I was offered bottled water because of the sulfur,. We loved the dessert, which was chocolate cake and crème brûlée. Being there over 2.5 hours was a bit much. The downstairs women’s restroom was a welcome retreat plus playing pool with my brother helped ease the tension. This place has the potential to be excellent. The grounds were beautiful! It was very disappointing, the service was very long and the place smelled of sulfur, especially in the restroom, the water had a sulfur smell as well. you would think with the prices they charge it would have a water filtration system installed, I couldn't imagine having a wedding there to smell rotten eggs through the evening.
We ate in the jail cell in the dungeon, it was awesome, Food was excellent and the staff were the best. YOU HAVE TO GO , I promise you'll absolutely love it !!
Enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly, helpful waitress- Britany...n the food- original n v g!
We had our son and daughter-in-laws wedding here. The entire experience was magical! From the moment we saw the place and spoke with the owner it was perfection. Planning with Lynn was amazing, she took away every concern, she was so easy and wonderful to work with. The day before I needed to drop off stuff to set up for the day of, the day of I showed up and it was all in place for us. It was perfect! The staff was amazing, so accommodating and welcoming. Every wish and need was met. The food was OUTSTANDING! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, professional, accommodating place. It truly was such an incredible experience. So so beautiful! It will forever have a place in my heart.
