Have you ever tried making your own cream cheese? I haven't either! But they do here, and it’s far tastier than anything I’ve bought from the supermarket. I was amazed at how they manage to make so many different bagel varieties and still whip up their own cream cheese. The ingredients seem straightforward, but the entire process takes about 24 hours due to fermentation. So far, I’ve tried the Everything, Blueberry, Cinnamon Toast, Chocolate Chunk, and Spinach Parmesan, and each one has been outstanding. I can’t wait to become a regular bagel enthusiast, with or without their delicious cream cheese!
The bagels have a wonderfully chewy texture and are wonderfully crisp. I always make it a point to pick one up every time I go to the farmers market.
The steady flow of customers on this late Monday morning indicates that this place is likely to become a favorite in the Troy dining scene. It's a breath of fresh air to have an alternative to the corporate bagel shops near the college. The restaurant demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental sustainability by sourcing their products and ingredients locally—there’s even a map on display showing where everything comes from. They also place a significant emphasis on recycling, which is wonderful to see. Situated in a prime location on River Street, they offer a solid selection of bagels (about a dozen flavors available today) at reasonable prices—what’s not to love? The split layout of the restaurant has a great atmosphere, with one side featuring corrugated metal and wooden tables for dining, while the other side has a lounge-like feel with area rugs and a mix of eclectic furniture. This is a fantastic addition to the rapidly evolving downtown Troy scene. Be sure to stop by for a bite!
