Los Herrajes - Trujillo

It seems that this restaurant has a location in Trujillo, but we ate at the beach in Huanchaco, beautiful location. Since we were part of a tour, our menu options were limited (goat with rice and deer with rice), so we didn't... to taste the seafood that would probably have been better. It was okay given the circumstances, and really nice to be over the sea for a beautiful view.

This restaurant is a popular restaurant serving meals from your own farm. They practice sustainable food by producing vegetables and cattle grown locally. It is a very unique restaurant with great tasting of Peruvian food.

Brilliant seafood. We had Ceviche and Chicharones Mixto (deep fried squid =calamares fish langostinos) and it was super fresh and delicious. Very recommended. The service was not very good. The young waitress was arrogant and/or had a bad day. We had to wait too long for the bill. Usually it would be a reason to never go back. Even recommended the place as excellent, only because of food. Just delicious.

Fantastic view, right in front of the sea. Listen to the sea breeze while you eat seafood that taste as if it was simply pulled by the line and cooked for you. Fresh juices complicate the delicate aromas I recommend to the Jugo de maracuya...(Office fruit juice). Try the Ceviche de corvina (Sea Bass ceviche) or arroz con mariscos (Seafood with rice). Bring your Spanish bilingual dictionary if you are not familiar with Peruvian cuisine.
