Contribuisci feedbackWe attended the five day class because we are starting a chain of coffee/drink shops. I cannot envision embarking on such an endeavor without us attending this class. I will predict that we will look upon our experience with the Seattle Barista Academy as the best investment we ever made in the coffee business! Our instructors were outstanding and the course content was current and relevant. It felt that not a minute of a five period was wasted. If you're going into the coffee business, partner with these guys!
Great experience with Bob and his team during the 5-day hands-on barista and coffee class. The school has top-of-the-line machines and equipment. The 5-day program covers every subject from barista training to making the right business decisions. You'll learn how to extract perfect espresso shots every time, texture perfect silky milk, understand brewing methods and also make a wonderful cold brew. It's all there. The coffee tour of Seattle's top shops is a must and the perfect complement to the theory provided in the manuals. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to start a career in the coffee industry.
A fantastic class! I registered for a 3-day class at the Seattle Barista Academy because I wanted to learn more about coffee and to produce great tasting espresso and latte drinks on my home espresso machine. This hands-on class was exactly what I needed. The class was taught by two talented baristas who carefully and patiently took the class through the steps to consistently create exceptional coffee drinks. I had my own workstation with all the equipment I needed and after three days of practice I am really pleased with the great tasting coffee I now create. In addition, the class was a lot of fun--well worth the trip from Wisconsin!
I am planning to open a small bakery/café in Mexico soon and wanted to offer good coffee and espresso too. I knew that I needed information about the coffee business, espresso equipment, and barista training. I decided to take the two day weekend training that Seattle Barista Academy offered and am very happy I did! I feel that it gave me a really good base to go home and begin practicing on my own. Even though my husband was not enrolled in the class, Bob Burgess (owner), and Stephen (trainer), were willing to sit down and talk with us about maintenance of the espresso equipment and other business related questions we had before the class started. Stephen has had a lot of experience in the coffee business, but he was also a patient teacher. He offered help with specific things I was struggling with during the class and encouraged me to keep improving with each shot I pulled. We spent a lot of time pulling shots and steaming milk I had no idea there could be so much to it! We covered a lot of other information (including coffee art my fav) over the two day workshop. Both Bob and Stephen have a lot of years in the coffee/espresso business and the training was very well structured and professional. I now feel that I have a contact in the espresso business who I can turn to if I have other questions or feel that I need additional training in specific areas. I am very pleased with the training that Seattle Barista Academy offers and would highly recommend them for anyone looking to enter the coffee espresso/business!
Hands down the best training program with amazing instructors that have years of experience in the business. So much information provided, fun environment and always giving us so much support throughout our process. Highly recommended!
