Nelson's Buffeteria - Tulsa

By far the best food and service anywhere in the tulsa area! have eaten at nelson since I was a young boy with my father. I'm 51 now and take my young son. the best chicken fried steak or huh ever! kartoffeln and gravy are in my deathbed last meal. the rolls are super! always great service and friendly staff. I wish they were to dinner and open on Saturday. said enough! thank you nelsons!

On Friday for lunch. on Friday they have a live band. this is a serious home kitchen. cracker barrel cannot hold a candle on this precious stone. come to lunch at 11 because they quickly fill up and eat begins to run because they close at 2 o'clock. that's true, they're only open from 7 am to 2 pm. Mon-Fri. they are packed between these hours and sell enough amazing food to not have to work 12 hours days. same people work every day. the same people who have made it a priority to cook and serve the best foods available. I'm going out with this 5 stars rain! nelson is, hands down, the best comfort food in tulsa. her chicken fried steak is the best I ever had and her kartoffels, green beans, mac and cheese and roll are all amazing! I'd eat every day if I knew I didn't have a heart attack! If they're looking for a good chicken roast, they won't go on!

At last it has made to nelson’s off memorial. last time I was here and was on boston ave many years ago. the memorial is quite as I remember, except the parking lot is better (not much.) they go to the counter and order, had to go with the chicken stable with kartoffel and green beans. the wife had the chicken turkey sandwich with macn cheese. both were excellent along with the very good engraving. kartoffeln were a little casual for my preference, but still tasty. Mac-n-cheese was very good and made with real Cheddar cheese. that is a place where they check their calorie counter at the door. the service is good and the gloomy (pies) are also very good.

I got a to go order wish I was able to eat in but it's okay I'm a sides kinda girl so I was having a tough time picking but they were very nice and let me tAste some of the items went with the best cabbage real southern taste not spicy and the Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes was good also next time I'm trying the green beans and for it being to go It was a good portion I was stuffed the chicken fried steak was good as well I would have liked the breading more seasoned but overall meal was great and next time I'm sure going to get some of the pie
