We started with two appetizers the were fried to perfection - the sweet potato chips and fried plantains. Everyone enjoyed trying their unique flavors. The baked chicken lunch was super tender and seasoned all the way through, as was the chicken curry. The Cuban sandwich was very fine, with well seasoned pork topped with delicious Swiss cheese, ham, and house mayonnaise. The jerk chicken provided more of a spicy kick, but my favorite part was the herbal, creamy Butternut Squash soup that really hit the spot on this cold day! A very nice experience all around! tastytulsa.net
Visited Sisserou's tonight for the first time with our new foodie group. We received excellent service, great food and an incredible atmosphere. My wife and I started off the meal with Plantain Poppers as an appetizer. They had a nice, crispy breaking with quick pop of plantain flavor hidden inside. For dinner I had the Jerk Chicken with red beans and rice and a side of spicy corn. The chicken was full of flavor and cooked perfectly, unlike some places you find over cooked, dry chicken. The jerk spices were had a bit of kick but not too hot. Definitely a well balanced dish. The red beans and rice made a nice addition as well as the spicy corn which was great! We ended the evening with Banana Crepe Soufflé, which requires a 20 min prep time but definitely worth the wait. Overall we loved the experience and everyone in our group were pleased with our meals. Thank you Sisserou's, we will be visiting again soon.
Had the Cuban and plantain poppers. Great flavor, presentation, service, and atmosphere. Will definitely come back next time I come back to Tulsa, OK.
Best Caribbean food in tulsa. The jerk chicken, Butternut squash soup is outstanding. Also had the Cuban sandwich which is excellent for lunch.
Came in for lunch for the first time. Place is very elegant and nice on the inside. Very festive, ordered the Jerk Chicken entree with Red Beans and rice and friend order the Cuban Sandwich with fries. This is the first time having Jerked chicken and thought it was good. Didn't know what to expect on spicy but was interesting. Red beans and rice were good just wish it was a little hotter temperature wise. My friend said his Cuban sandwich was excellent. Service is excellent and love that they bring a vessel of water for the table. This would be a great place to go for dinner if you in the Brady District.
