I stumbled on sirenas while I went down on looking for a cheap hammock the tulum strip. I was originally drawn by the handmade jewellery in display cases near the beginning, but I was still fascinated by the owner, who load and the history behind it. I spent the whole afternoon helping anna, the owner, clean them a little thread for a new project and organize straps from leather and pearls for another. she also offered me a lunch that was a delicious vegetarian kewitsche, kartoffeln and veggie suppe, and a delicious homemade pizza. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was to eat! I had to go around 19 o'clock, so I asked what I owed her for the afternoon and she wouldn't allow me to pay! I thought that was so sweet! I would highly recommend sirenas if they are in tulum centro and would like to find an interesting place to hang out with interesting people.
My partner and I went here for a drink first line because it was quiet and they really had comfortable looking chairs. the mojitos were 2 for the price of 1, so we ordered this without asking for a menu. the drinks were delicious and the free pulpits were a beautiful surprise. the waitress was very nice. the drinks were probably a bit more expensive than other places (100 pesos for the 2 many places offered 2 drinks for 70 or 80 pesos at the same night,) but we really enjoyed the experience overall.
