Dust Bowl Downtown Taproom - Turlock

The restaurant is easy to get to from the 99 freeway. I visited with my boyfriend and a friend, and it was pleasantly quiet for a late afternoon on a weekday. We were seated promptly, and the service was attentive. My boyfriend tried a flight of beers (as shown in the photo) and enjoyed four out of five selections. I ordered the taco truck lager to pair with my fried fish tacos, which were absolutely delicious. Overall, the beer at this brewery is good, but I don't think I would return solely for the drinks. However, I'd gladly make the trip from Fresno just for the food. We all agreed that while the beer was enjoyable, it didn't blow us away, but the food was truly fantastic!

Situated on the corner in downtown Turlock, this restaurant offers a delightful experience. I sampled their ale, which had a subtle aftertaste of mango and guava. It paired perfectly with the onion rings we ordered as appetizers. I also tasted their fish and chips and a tomato caprese sandwich, both of which were delicious. A fun novelty they offer is bacon on a stick! The venue features a pleasant outdoor seating area in addition to indoor seating.

The decor was lovely, and the staff were warm and welcoming! The service was excellent and prompt. Our server was well-informed about the menu and the daily specials. The food was served quickly and was delicious. I had the tomato soup with a pretzel, both of which tasted fresh and homemade. I would absolutely return to this restaurant!

The food is delicious. I ordered the pulled pork, Mac n cheese skillet with garlic fries. I must say it was scrumptious. Hubby got the steak sandwich and that was delicious. Good atmosphere, great service and fair prices.

The beer sampler is a great idea. You get to try different beers. The burgers were pretty tasty and the garlic fries are one of the best I ever had. The patio area is pretty open and safe during covid.
